"Lisa is so knowledgeable about dog behaviour and has helped me with my two dogs in so many ways. Her tips are really helpful. As a teacher myself, I recognise other great teachers and Lisa is definitely one of them. She’s friendly and extremely professional too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her". -Emma Newham, Cleadon
"We decided to ask for Lisa's help with our fearful reactive lurcher Sally as we'd tried unsucsessfully to calm her ingrained behaviour.

Lisa was very professional and good with Sally from the get go. She showed us how to tackle the issues Sally was having and we're implementing them on a daily basis.

We would highly recommend Lisa as a behaviourist to anyone who is having problems with their pooch. She has a good attitude and knows her stuff

We have a lot of work to do but we feel more confident with Sally going forward".-Graeme Wall, Shiremoor
"Lisa is amazing, after one session I could see real progress with Tilly, my rescue lurcher's behaviour. I had struggled with Tilly's reactivity to cars and couldn't walk along a street without her barking and twirling. We can now walk calmly and I am confident about my behaviour to help Tilly. Lisa is calm, patient and very clear in her directions, making our sessions a pleasure and successful. Really looking forward to addressing recall in coming sessions. Thoroughly recommend Rosie To The Rescue". - Amanda Lenney, South Shields

"I would thoroughly recommend the lovely Lisa for all the help and advice she gave me, she gave some very useful tips and techniques to stop my very anxious pooch following my every move round the house, she is now a very happy and relaxed dog. Would definitley book another training session with her if I came across any other problems". -Hilary M, South Shields
"Lisa gave us a couple of sessions with our puppy when she was training for her Diploma. She is really knowledgeable and both of our training sessions were fun!"- Lindsay H, Gateshead
"I got in touch with Lisa as I needed some help with my almost 2 year old cocker spaniel Harvey. Harvey had all of a sudden become scared of certain noises when out on a walk which resulted in making him pull terribly in fear/panic making walks unenjoyable. On our first session Lisa explained about adolescence in dogs and how it can affect some dogs such as a change in their behaviour and when she explained this I could understand Harvey’s change in behaviour.

Lisa came on a walk with me and Harvey so she could see for herself what Harvey was like. She explained where I was going wrong and how to correct this and I can honestly say I noticed a difference immediately. She explained everything clearly and answered any questions or doubts that I had. I cannot recommend her enough !" -Kayleigh Tinmouth, South Shields
"Loved my sessions with Lisa. Lola is a lot better on the leash now and my wife also feels confident to walk her as well. Our walks are now enjoyable . Highly reccomend Lisa at Distinctive K9". Tom Hutch, Boldon
"We got in touch with Lisa as we were desperate!! Our big lad Max just wouldn't stop barking. In the house, garden and the whole way round on a walk! After trying what we thought was everything, we found Lisa and only 2 sessions in we can see a huge difference with Max and can actually enjoy going for a walk and not avoiding everyone and everything in sight. Max has quite a way to go with him being quite anxious but very impressed at how well he is doing so far. Lisa writes up a summery of everything she has gone through so you can keep going back to it to ensure your following the training correctly! It was such a pleasure to meet Lisa and we would 100% recommend!" Alex Graham, South Shields
"I contacted Lisa to help with my dog, Tommy. He used to get so stressed when people walked past the house and his behaviour would get even worse if someone knocked on the front door. We had a couple of sessions with Lisa and we saw great improvement with Tommy. We will be carrying on with the training exercises Lisa gave us. Would highly recommend Distinctive K9". Kelly Henderson, Seaburn
"We booked Lisa as our rescue dog needed some help to manage her behaviour relating to being reactive to dogs and people mainly on walks and when we have visitors in our home. Lisa was very understanding and supportive and was able to guide us with instructions to help our dog and also help us to understand why these behaviours were happening. Lisa was very calm, informative and knowledgeable and this helped put us all at ease during the training sessions. We have a comprehensive training guide to look back on and already some of the techniques that we’ve put in place have been positive and this has helped our anxiety as well as our dogs. Would recommend and will use again in the future if needed. Thank you so much". - Lorna Waite, South Shields
"As a first time dog owner with a large rescue greyhound, I was struggling and felt it was time seek professional help. My dog is reactive towards off lead dogs running near him, and also struggled with meeting new dogs, especially ones in his personal space. I was also struggling with him freezing on walks and refusing to move. Rosie to the rescue have been fantastic, Lisa is really friendly and easy to talk to. She has given me the confidence and skills to begin training Robbie to be less reactive, increase his confidence and socialisation skills. I received a comprehensive written report after each session. On our last session my dog met Lisa's dog Rosie, I learnt how to gradually introduce Robbie to other days in a safe environment. I would highly recommend Distinctive K9 to anyone struggling with their dog who needs some extra help! Thanks again". - Emma Seed, Newcastle

"We initially contacted Distinctive K9 to help with our mini daschund adjusting to life around a newborn baby having been in an adult only household for 3 years. By the end of our first session our dog was able to obey our commands and lie quietly around our newborn something he wasn't able to do before this. Lisa also noticed some other behaviours that needed addressing and we continued this in our second session. From not thinking we could ever have our dog around our newborn we have now been able to have a calm environment thanks to Lisa's invaluable support. Anyone looking for help with their dog Lisa is your person " -Aysha Henderson, South Shields
"Lisa helped me with my Romanian rescue, Bertie. Bertie used to be extremely reactive to other dogs when I took him for walks, but one session in with Lisa and his temperament changed completely! She showed me and my husband how to walk him with confidence and we are now enjoying our time at the beach and parks!" -Rebecca H, Chester Le Street
"Lisa is extremely knowledgeable on dog behaviour, she came and helped me massively with understanding and training my wild Ridgeback. I saw improvements straight away and after 3 sessions the confidence my dog and I now have is brilliant.

"Lisa came to my help when I struggled to find a solution to my dog's insistent barking and separation anxiety. This has only just recently started after a major change to our lives. I tried all of the advice given from friends and other dog owners to absolutely no avail. Lisa helped me enormously to understand my dog's psychology and why she was reacting this way, which was a real eye opener. Our one to one sessions were followed up with more written advice. We're still very much a work in progress but I feel sure we'll get there eventually. " -Linda Maxfield, South Shields
